Pin Grading

Enamel pins are handmade items, which means that slight variations or minor imperfections—such as tiny specks, slight color shifts, or small surface marks—are normal and part of the production process. These subtle quirks make each pin unique and do not affect the overall design or quality.

Sleepy Ink sorts all pins into 3 simple grading tiers to keep things clear and easy.

✨ Grade A – Almost Perfect
These pins look great at first glance with no obvious flaws. If you look really closely, you might spot a tiny scuff or light scratch, but nothing major. They’re awesome for display and priced at the regular rate.

✨ Grade B – Slightly Flawed
These pins still look good overall, but you might notice some deeper scratches, uneven enamel, or areas that aren’t as smooth. They’re totally fine to display, just not quite perfect—so we give you a little discount.

✨ Grade C – Oops!
These ones have more noticeable flaws like chipped enamel, discoloration, or heavy scratches. They're not great for display, but they’re perfect for DIY projects, testing out pin backs, or collecting on a budget. Big discount included 😆
